We are looking for

An Application Engineer to join our Singapore team. In this role, you will provide technical support, training, and communication to dedicated customers and subsidiaries on all technical aspects of the application and integration of ETEL products.

Your tasks

• Act as the key contact for dedicated customers to ensure complete solutions using ETEL products for their applications.
• Define needs, organize, and provide technical training to subsidiaries, and customers on the use of our products.
• Maintain and update training and course materials.
• Organize and provide technical support to subsidiaries, and customers for new applications.
• Act as an expert on the use of ETEL products and understand the context in which the products are used.
• Analyze problems and find solutions to meet customer and market needs.
• Develop best-known methods and best practices for the use of ETEL products.
• Generate and update application and technical notes.
• Support our sales teams by providing demos and technical information on our products and assist them during customer negotiations.
• Perform commissioning of ETEL products, tests and demonstration.
• Recommend product improvements.

Your profile

• Bachelor or Master Degree in engineering (electronic, mechatronic, physics or equivalent).
• At least 5 years’ experience in the field of applications support.
• Proven experience in mechatronics / industrial machine design.
• Good programming skills in C/C++ and C#.
• Knowledge of control/regulation theory.
• Additional programming knowledge (MATLAB, Python, etc.).
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Autonomous, with the ability to take responsibility for a customer.
• Result-oriented, with the ability to make technical decisions and deliver the required solution.
• Proactive, with a “can-do” attitude.
• Very good communication, reporting, and documentation skills.
• Customer-oriented, with good negotiation skills.
• Able to handle pressure.
• Organized, structured and rigorous.
• Strong analytical thinking, systematic problem-solving skills.
• Available for frequent travel across Asia, as well as initial and refresher training in Switzerland.
