Jérémy Anstett started his career as a motivated student with a strong desire to learn and grow. Today, he is a manager at ETEL – a development that reflects both professional excellence and continuous personal growth. His journey illustrates how talent, commitment and the right environment at ETEL can enable long-term career development.
When did you first realize: This could actually be my path?
Regarding engineering, quite early on – I’ve always been curious about how things work. The management aspect came later, especially during my time at ETEL, where both colleagues and supervisors encouraged me to take on increasing levels of responsibility. Another key trigger was a management training program, which really made me reflect on this career path.
Was there a moment during your studies or training that truly changed your perspective?
I had a very inspiring trainer at ETEL who recently said: “I am the best trainer because my trainee became my supervisor.” That sentence stayed with me and strongly influenced the way I think about learning, responsibility and leadership.

What originally attracted you to your field – and what still excites you today?
I enjoy technical challenges and find it fascinating to constantly strike the right balance between constraints, risks and results. I strongly believe that continuous, incremental improvements are the best way to achieve excellence. In recent years, I have also discovered a real passion for management and find great satisfaction in supporting people and helping teams unlock their full potential together.
How would you explain your work at ETEL to someone without a technical background?
Our daily work is about turning ideas into reliable series production. I am responsible for manufacturing engineering and production within the motors division. Together with my team, we prepare future production for new products: building initial prototypes, designing and qualifying tools, machines and processes, defining assembly times, writing work instructions and driving continuous improvement. On the production side, our focus is on delivering products on time, at the required quality level and within defined production targets.
When do you feel that you are really learning and making an impact in your daily work?
ETEL is home to many talented people, and I learn from them every day – both technically and on a human level. Our products and processes are complex and not always fully mature, which means continuous improvement constantly brings new challenges and learning opportunities. The greatest impact comes through teamwork. I am very proud of the people I lead and of the positive atmosphere we have built together. Even in difficult moments, the team has remained strong, focused and committed to delivering their best for ETEL.

What does “career” mean to you?
I have a strong desire to keep learning, and I don’t like to be bored – in life in general, not just at work. I enjoy challenges and pushing my limits, whether professionally, in sports or through personal projects. Rather than aiming for a specific position, I focus on giving my best and trusting that opportunities will arise. This mindset has worked well for me at ETEL, where new challenges have consistently come at the right time.
Which skill would you most like to develop over the next years?
I am still a young manager, and management is an art. Since every person is different, my main focus is on further developing my leadership and people management skills. In parallel, I want to strengthen my understanding of business processes and strategic decision-making.
What motivates you on difficult days?
I focus on the end result. I know that overcoming difficult obstacles makes success far more rewarding. Anyone can achieve easy goals; true satisfaction comes from mastering challenges.
What do you do to completely switch off and recharge?
I’m very active: football, running, trail running, cycling and more. My brother and I are extremely close – almost inseparable – and regularly take part in events that push us to our limits. I also enjoy taking on challenges with friends, such as cycling around Corsica. In addition, I like working on house renovation projects, either alone or with friends, always accompanied by music. But the ultimate supercharger is my daughter : each moment with her provides unlimited energy and finally as rest is equally important, I enjoy travelling and discovering the world.

What is a hobby or interest people wouldn’t expect from you?
House renovations, especially larger projects. Some people see office workers as far removed from hands-on work, which makes this even more enjoyable for me.
Why ETEL – and not just any other company?
ETEL develops highly sophisticated products and processes, making the work both challenging and rewarding. Our constant goal is to deliver the highest quality at reasonable cost and with outstanding performance. In short, ETEL is driven by a strong commitment to excellence and innovation. ETEL has also enabled me to grow by recognizing and supporting my potential. The company’s location – and the great restaurant – are real advantages as well. Over time, building experience within the same company also strengthens credibility and trust.
What do you value most about the culture or the way people work together at ETEL?
ETEL feels like a large family. Many people have been with the company for a long time, which creates strong relationships, trust and highly efficient collaboration.
What would you tell young talents considering a career at ETEL?
ETEL is a place where you can truly grow, learn and develop your potential without barriers. There are two equally valuable career paths: deep technical expertise or leadership and management. My own career reflects this. I started as a trainee and, after 15 years of experience, now lead manufacturing engineering, prototyping and production within the motors division. ETEL offers long-term development opportunities and the freedom to shape your career.
