Standard systems

The standard system designs are based on the expertise acquired previously from a variety of custom system developments. The main difference compared to a fully custom design is that the technical risk associated with the technology is completely known since they have been used successfully for years.


 


Custom specific systems
A custom specific system is designed when a fully standard stage does not exactly cover the application needs or when fully standard axes are part of a more global offer including machine frame design, controls and electronics, stage mapping options, non standard acceptance test protocols to name but a few.


 

Fully custom systems
A fully custom design is a special product developped for one specific customer . It can be totally different from a standard product or may be based on a standard product but adapted to one customer specific and unique requirement. This approach guarantees an optimized solution.

 

Custom or standard, what is the best approach fitting your needs?
While the motion system part of the machine becomes ETEL’s full responsibility, different approaches can be foreseen depending on the application overall requirements.

It is often too simplistic to consider only technical requirements as specifications. Very important aspects like risk assessment, reliability, interchangeability, modularity, upgradability, time to prototype, are often neglected although they can quickly become killing factors for the whole project.
