- BSc or Master in Mechanical/Mechatronics engineering, Aeronautics, or Physics.
- Knowledge in multidisciplinary and positioning systems kinematic and dynamic aspects, familiar with the basic design patterns of precision engineering and their application. Proven design experience advantageous.
- Knowledge in positioning, speed, acceleration metrology methods.
- Basic knowledge in basic complementary disciplines like optics, video, data acquisition, electronics, communication, etc.
- Basic knowledge in mechanical fabrication methodologies and reliability concepts.
- Proficient in sensors, actuators and electronics drivers’ knowledge, error budgeting knowledge and in MATLAB.
- Advantageous: Familiar with non-linear aspects of mechatronic modules and associated control aspects; MIMO control knowledge; basic understanding of bearings, motors, power electronics and their critical characteristics; Software knowledge: Visual Basic, C++ or other standard industry SW development language; metrology knowledge (both measurement methods and instrumentation).
- English and French: read, write and fluent speaking.
